I had it too, but all my vinyl disappeared while couch surfing from place to place in my late teens. I've been rebuilding the collection...slowly.

Discogs.com for used, and MerchBar for re-pressed, new records on sale. Private sellers on FB. OfferUp, everybody mistakenly thinks their vinyl is rare and worth coin...NOPE! A person can find whatever they want on Discogs for reasonable prices.

Right now Merchbar has a huge sale going on, I've only scrolled thru 4 pages and have another Smiths, Rancid, Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, Linkin Park, Green Day, STP, Limp Bizkit and Pearl Jam in the cart lol lol Good thing I just yelled at the wife about spending too much on Amazon. I'll probably get the AIC/Limp Bizkit and call it a day - those are spendy sets that the whole family enjoys....literally.

CD's are the new vinyl - everybody's getting rid of them like people dumped vinyl because CD's came out...hmmmmm

Trying to finish building speaker cables...

Finally finished making my own speaker cables. Oxygen-free 12 gauge copper, twister pair in PVC shielding, wrapped in braided PET sleeving.

The smaller cables are for the powered subwoofers, older monster cable, simply wrapped in PET. The subwoofer cables are only tasked with carrying a signal, so no need for expensive cabling.

Http404 and myself were set to buy Pretenders tics this morning for a show in DTLA.

Tics went on sale at 10:00 but were sold out by 10:01.

Ticketmaster put me in their waiting cue at 10:00...along with 1400 other purchasers. I'm pretty sure the Regent doesn't even hold that many peeps. By 10:05, $50 tics were being scalped on Stub Hub at $400 - $1150.

Total Ticketmastery fuckery, I'm so pissed. I guess it happened to all their shows, sold out in minutes with most tics purchased by automated bots. The same thing happened to me when I tried to buy Cure tics.

I now realize I should of had ten browser tabs open and hit each of them in rapid succession to get a better position in the cue.
