With the wife and I running a boating instagram account we cruise through the channel and we usually have a lot of expensive camera equipment that doesn't like to get wet.

We shake our heads at people and most of the time they are respectful when they see the camera gear and we avoid getting sprayed down, however there are always outliers to that scenario.

I found this online and it seems like it might be a good deterrent or at least a way to give them back the middle finger that they bestowed upon us. Is that illegal?

Seems like just the ticket as it shoots water blasts in rapid succession at a perfect range for the channel.

I’m no expert in human nature, but my guess is if others than your target see you shooting back, others will think you came to play and it’s game on and you will lose

Never been there, but from all I’ve read here, It’s up to you to protect your gear

Yeah that is the one flaw in my logic I thought of while researching solutions. Its fucking crazy that people will see a camera rig in my wife's hand and think it would be a lot of fun to spray her down....

I have a couple of these for kids and I to shoot each other, they are awesome but don't last long when filled up and then you have to stick the nozzle back in the water and wait for it to auto fill, but I do agree with everyone else that they may want to fire back

What would be so hard to rig up a pump and a hose?? I mean why work so hard. Unlimited water and a good pump there would be no end in sight.
Offshore fishing boats have this set up to wash the deck…

I have a spare one that I have been meaning to sell for a bit.

Youll never change the dynamic in the channel by fighting back.

Simply don't go there or get water proof housings for your cameras. Just my 02

Pump is already in the böté. (That big white thing that says Berkeley on it)

About 12' of garden hose, with a decent Home Depot Speed and Marine stainless steel nozzle. Easily adjustable. 2500 rpm is more than enough, and is probably 50+ psi, judging from water pressure at the house.

Fwd/rev infinitely adjustable, to keep the böté at neutral, or slightly forward progress. Works well at speed too. So I have been told.
Water temp has never waivered from 130° or so. Allegedly.

I vote, load up on paintball guns…
Dont fight fair, fight to win… add a few pepper spray balls in the mix… fuck those assholes.

LOL… that would be funny….
I agree with you, but around here that would be a quick experience in zip tie cuffs. Nobody has a sense of humor anymore…

Iv got the spyra‘s they’re pretty good. Hold trigger for super blast mode and use the other for rapid fire.
Theyre fun on beach w peeps around. People ask to borrow to blast their friends, next thing ya know ya got groups of chicks waiting to use your toys, lol

The big question is will you still be able to run over 100mph using this set up?

My second hand, krylon rebuilt, mix of junkyard parts push it to a blistering 57 mph. But could see 96 on the trailer, theoretically (7fukkin3), but no water to pump at that point. 🍺
