I like
That we get to ride along with basically the making of a professional baseball
Player. When he’s all huge and shit in MLB we’ll be like, shiiiit I remember when he was killin it at high school games. 😂😂
Sometimes I think I'm a little much here but I'm just proud. He works his ass of and is a good kid.

NOTHING wrong with being a PROUD DAD!!! KEEP POSTING IT!!! Like @Tank said, its AWESOME to watch and see his progression. I wish my kid didn't get wrapped up in all the coaching bullshit and quit his Senior year. I miss watching him pitch/play.

This hotel sucks, only has a 30" tv.😊
Gonna be here a few days😒😕
New Knee suddenly decided to become infected few days shy of 4 months post-surgery. They had go go back in, clean/flush it out.

The wife told me the news yesterday. Wanted to reach out but thought that I’d let you get settled for a bit before reaching out. Best to you @Ziggy in the current bout. Kind of shocked that it happened 4 months into your recovery. Please keep us posted as to your condition. 👍

I've been told with my metal knees, any infection on my body, including just conducting routine dental work, will cause infections to gravitate into my implants. Is this something they have mentioned?

Regardless, take care of yourself, buddy.
Well that's not good...I have an Ace Hardware sampler in my neck  Same materials as a knee overhaul, titanium and stainless. I wonder if it is how a knee is implanted in the marrow? That would possible make sense, I think I remember from bio class the femur is responsible for a large percentage of the white blood cell production.

I just want to know how a 4 month old TKR gets infected? Is this just a fluke?

First of all, Prayers for a quick recovery Ziggy. Do they have any theories on how the infection got in there? My wife is currently preparing for a TKR and I am NOT going to show her this! She’s scared enough as it is LOL.

After my TKR in 2005 my Orthopedic Surgeon said 2000mg of amoxicillin 2 hours before I opened my mouth for a dentist. Chance of an infection and it could possibly affect the TKR. My dentist at the time agreed completely. After our move a couple of years ago, our new Dentist said that was old school and no need for the antibiotics. I told him my knee has been perfect with zero issues since 2005 and I would only let him work on my teeth if I had the Amoxicillin on board. He said ‘if it makes you feel better about it”, and gave me the RX.

Ironically, my dentist also told me my massive dose of antibiotics before any dental work was no longer necessary.
I still keep a big ol' bottle, just in case.

Hell no, keep posting his pics. Love watching his development in my favorite sport. He’s busted his ass to get where he’s at. People don’t realize how incredibly difficult it is to play at his level. He’s a 1%er.

Keep posting! Good job Mom & Dad!

Speculation only. No real knowing why/how for certain. I'd gotten a cortisone shot in my shoulder the week before it puffed up. That can weaken the immune response.
The fact I'm nearly 4 mos post surgery makes it highly unusual, especially considering how far along I'd come already.

Yeah, no dental for 6 months after surgery and still take some antibiotics. He didn't mention about long term.
