No boating for me. Did a 30 hour trip to Nashville to see Eric Church, flew out 7 am Friday, met up with my cousin from Florida, had drinks dinner drinks concert drinks and some drinks. This morning breakfast and to the airport and home for dinner.

That is where we are. Red Feather Lakes area. We are staying at Beaver Meadows Resort. Hope you have a good time. Weather isn't the greatest for a wedding this afternoon. It is suppose to rain.

Had 2 moose walk right by our cabin door yesterday. I didn't get a pic of the first one.

My guess is that they are rentals and the boaters are very new to boating. And they try it on a big holiday weekend.
It is great that most of them have PFD’s on.

That’s a good haul. 40 miles ish one way. I laugh when people from back east say havasu is small. 80-100 miles in a day isn’t exactly small. And there’s more if you want.

Getting ready to cook this tonight. Season with Kinders Blend, wrap in foil, grill 10 mins each side, unwrap, back on the grill for a sear and then rest. Went back and forth on whether to smoke and then sear but decided on this method to avoid getting both grills out.

My wife went to her nieces graduation with her dad today so I have the day to myself.

Woke up and washed this girl up and drove her over to Malibu Seafood. It’s the first day they have opened PCH. Not too bad of a drive.

Malibu Seafoods - I can recall when they started on the pier. Wayne Caywood, owner/founder. Wayne’s sister and BIL were/are my best friends. BIL passed in 2010. Food has always been good.

So that's how you get the nuts on the back sides of things...small slave labor I use my youngest now to get stuff off the top shelves I can't reach. He can no longer fit in tight places, but at 6'4" he can dust the ceiling fans

Gorge was crazy. Helped some kids at the end of the no wake zone to a beach. Probably had 30-40 boats pass him since he was right at the end of no wake zone towards topock. We got a hold of their friends and they said they were ok.

Just got back to the house. We both drove the hell out of the boat and had a blast.

Weird we were pulling out at riviera and a cop told us from the second your boat is on the trailer no one can ride in the boat even to the wipe down area. Rules are rules I guess now I’ll piss everyone off at the ramp unloading my kids from the boat and myself.

Funny you mentioned that. Have seen people riding in boats on the streets of Havasu. Was wondering if that was legal. Lots of people riding in pickup beds too this weekend.

Back to riding in boat. Riviera? Isn’t that a private marina. Would they have any authority there?

I went to the Springs last weekend for a B-day party...never been there before. Now, I have a new goal...I want a boat that I can trust to get there and back from Topock. That seems like a really neat run, river, gorge, lake and a lunch spot!

Glad you guys were able to take the boat out and stretch it's legs. Aside from shingles, seems to have been a good trip!
