Well at least someone had a happy ending in Havasu this weekend.

Well, at least he was shot in the bathroom...easier cleanup. Could have had the place rented by this weekend.

In small world, police departments a close encounter shooting like this off and end up very bad in the officers get killed because of very poor tactical training, a sad situation but reality. For the last 30 years, I’ve known the last three chiefs of police, including the current ones since he was a young detective, and when I was on the department, I fed them. All kinds of tactical information gave them hookups in tactical experts, manual information, and how to handle involved shootings gave him everything that LAPD could supply, they end up in critical situations Don’t know if it had a long-term influence, but I’m gratified to see that these officers walked away uninjured. Survival is always priority one.

So,
This started across the street from my house in Topock. I was out of town, and my Mom was here watching the dog for us.
1AMish, our neighbor bangs on our front door yelling for help, so my Mom opens the door, and the neighbor is all bloody, and telling my Mom that her boyfriend beat her up. FWIW, this is probably the 3rd time. Police and paramedics get called, and in the meantime the boyfriend splits.
We got home that Sunday morning following the incident at the house. Police are cruising up and down my deadend street all day, and then they just stopped. We found out about what happened Sunday night, before it was reported.
Fun fact, the gun that he used, he stole from her house that night.
2nd fun fact, a few months back, they got in a fight, and she shot at him thru the bathroom door, but missed.
