Never have seen anything like that enforced since I can remember. Is that a Riviera thing?
I’m not sure it must be.
Does that mean they can’t be in the boat while backing in? If it was about safety the same rules would apply.
Honestly that’s a good question. Pain in the ass is what it is.
Really, I thought it was like a pick up truck bed.... good to go.
My wife and dogs stay in the boat all the way home most days. All 0.6 miles home.
Nope can ride in the bed but not the boat. It makes sense boat can come detached etc. I see people daily riding in truck beds in havasu. Especially big weekends.

I love doing that! My wife thinks im crazy. Ill sit in the boat and just listen to tunes and a beverage

… There was this chick that I used to hide from…She would pull up in her four-wheel-drive and if I saw her coming,…I would go out my front door and hide in my 1949 Chriscraft custom runabout mahogany plank boat… but she would usually find me🤷🏽‍♀️

Watch people go by sitting in their boats most mornings and evenings. Busier the better. Windsor ranger said it’s a $250ish ticket per person when we came through. Never did it again.

It does make sense if something happened and the trailer disconnects. Should be the same for launch and retrieval. If it’s about safety they’ll enforce launch. It’s usually about making contact so they won’t.

We ended up running to pirate again. Burnt some fuel this weekend. Weird we were pulling out at riviera and a cop told us from the second your boat is on the trailer no one can ride in the boat even to the wipe down area. Rules are rules I guess now I’ll piss everyone off at the ramp unloading my kids from the boat and myself.
So that's this years legal faux pas they're targeting, eh?😏😊

I went to the Springs last weekend for a B-day party...never been there before. Now, I have a new goal...I want a boat that I can trust to get there and back from Topock. That seems like a really neat run, river, gorge, lake and a lunch spot!

Glad you guys were able to take the boat out and stretch its legs. Aside from shingles, seems to have been a good trip!
I think I love the springs so much because that’s where my dad took me as a kid and it stills looks the same. The outer harbor and restaurant have always been a neat place to get out of the sun and relax. It’s definitely a great run. We normally do it on a Friday morning. Usually we jump off to cool off a few times, but we couldn’t do that until the no wake zone before topock and pirates. Too many boats. Hopefully you can get the boat done and do the run! Or, you know you are always welcome on our boat anytime.

Robert is usually down for the count the second we get back to the needles house. I honestly thought he wasn’t going to leave the house, but he was ready for the boat and was his normal self besides staying in the shade. We were suppose to pull the boat out this morning and go home, but he decided he wants to relax more. Maybe the doctor telling him that shingles at his age is brought on by stress or overworking is setting in.

Do they really want people to unload their kids at the launch ramp where boats are coming in and people are backing up trucks? That seems like a tragic accident waiting to happen. That sounds more dangerous than the family in the boat to the wipe down area. I’m guessing they want everyone to get off at the docks and then to retrieve the boat?

Rode the ZRX1200R down to Bill Williams bridge.
HOLY SHYTE people driving fast and passing anywhere.
I was cruising 80 and got passed by the cement plant.
Crap flying out of boats. Almost got hit by a couple beer cans and red solo cups.
Solid line of cars heading to Parker when I came back to Havasu.
Can't imagine what Flybywire deals with

What you just described was a typical ride on the 10 or 57 when I was in Cali...and why I sold my old bikes. I've joked with my friends, I want an old bike, something pre-60 at least, just to check the mail. Boxes are 5-6 miles away, and no traffic.
But, I know damn well that leads to taking 89A to Jerome 🤣

You must really have the itch to get on a 2 lane with 10,000 hungover, still drunk, no sleep people on the road, i would feel safe in a armored truck.

Back at it again this morning. Got 2 that were even bigger today. 6.5 pounds this morning. They have been absolutely crushing a while buzz bait all weekend. Nothing better than some good top water blow ups. And now to cook some big ol pork steaks, honey garlic roasted carrots and some sweet potatoes

After you mentioned the miles, Robert wanted to know so he downloaded the app haha.

That’s awesome. Thanks!! I’m always curious. We run from the needles bridge to springs routinely. Burns a lot of fuel!! 😂 I always say, if you want to stretch out and run you can do 100 miles on havasu EASILY! I know Paul has said the exact miles from Laughlin to springs, but I won’t take the cigarette to Laughlin. Needles bridge is my limit. Good to know exactly how far it is. 👍👍👍

If I had ti guess I’d say that put the north end of the lake near the river entrance at the half way mark since the river is less of a. Straight shot.

We were NOT fans of turkey but we were also more inland by the airport. People were hostile, obviously hated Americans and females.

Did you hit Greece yet?
So far Turkey was better than Greece, but I’m sure it depends on where you port. This stop was super clean and friendly. The bars all play American tunes. Nothing like Lynard sknyard in Turkey. Tomorrow Crete

sorry for the typos…

Got someone to help me paint the fence
1000010859.jpg

Still have to add the top piece. Few new pieces of wood, some cuts, drills and paint. Like new and should last a few more years.

Went back and forth about just doing a new vinyl gate but decided to just burn that money in fuel for the boat in a couple weeks.

The “call to prayer” freaked me out the first time I heard it. It played over loudspeakers all over the town.

We tried to get our pictures with two female cops but they were bitches until my pulled out a couple of our patches and handed them to them. I’m okay not going back to Turkey.

We’ll avoid Turkey at all costs. We were forced into an additional day because Turkish air fucked us over. The people were straight up hostile. Blatantly obvious they 1) didn’t like Americans and 2) didn’t like females. Fuck Turkey. And double fuck Turkish airlines. Never again.
