Sounds way overpriced you can get $90 one way deals right now with Jetblue, do you need to go to LAX or can you land in Long Beach or John Wayne? Expand you search a little to include all times, if you're doing the round trip try looking for 2 one ways instead, sometimes thats a better deal.

dont forget to check orange county and long beach airports, LAX has a high pricetag to fly into. for example it was cheaper for us to fly to vegas, then hawaii than it was to leave directly from LAX. plus you DONT want to deal with how horrible LAX is...

As expensive as LAX is, SFO might be worse. It's a much nicer airport. Flying into Burbank is best for me.
