The Weather Channels website said it's 66F outside.
I checked my thermometer and it says 49 def F.
AccuWeather website said it's 49F outside.

Weather Channel was also wrong about ours, Glamis and Dumonts past wind storms as well. Often not predicting them at all.
AccuWeather's predictions were spot on on intensity and duration and they called every one here and at the dunes.

I noticed the Weather Channel on Direct would have marathons of it's reality shows that weren't all that good and skip weather reporting almost entirely.

Evidently Weather channel wanted more money for their programming and DirecTV dropped them on the 14th.
This October AccuWeather will start it's own weather channel on Directtv.
Should be a great imnprovement.
Direct TV has replaced the Weather Channel with the Weather Nation Channel a simple continuous 3 hour loop in the meantime.

Weather channel has good coverage of live problems, but I agree the day to day stuff sux. As far as forecasts for Havasu, Accu Weather is generally much better especially on temps.

It also depends on where the weather station is. A distance of just a few miles can have a relatively high temperature variance.

Who needs the Weather Channel..............that's what I always thought. Why int he world would anyone watch anything as boring as the WC????.......at least that's what I thought growing up in CA/AZ until I moved to Texas back in the mid 90's. In CA the weather really doesn't change much.....a few degrees here and there, when will the clouds clear out and of course the 10 - 15 days of real rain that we get every year.......whether we need it or not ;)

Fast forward, we move to TX.........and the weather changes almost by the hour and what were we watching a bunch.....The Weather Channel, who would have thunk it?? So I think that the people in the Midwest and East have not only a great appreciation of TWC they really have a need for real time weather info so I'll bet this is a much bigger deal for them than it is for those of us in reasonably constant climates here out west :D
