So, after paying to have the entire interior of the house painted, pouring over 130' of concrete, upgrading electrical service from the street and electrifying the shop as well as running electric for an RV station, I'm TAPPED. How's this audio related? I'm setting up the TV and surround system and don't want to spend a bunch of $$$. My last place I had run a hardwire setup for a 5.1 surround powered by my Onkyo HT-RC360 receiver. At the new place the room has 14' ceilings, so I don't think having speakers hanging is the right solution. Having speaker wires running to stands doesn't work. I've looked at some soundbar options, but I don't want a cheapie, but I also don't want to spend a bunch on Sonos. Is a 3.1 option worth doing? I watch mostly dialogue stuff, but sometimes we check out an action flick and having good sound is a nice experience. What options are out there under $500?

There’s a couple setups that have a primary front bar for center and L/R speaker and a wireless sub and then wireless to a small box that runs two rear speakers that you can hide behind a couch.

There’s a few brands that make it. It won’t be as good as discreetly wired speakers that you can individually tune and balance but it does the job.

Maybe a prior year version of the Samsung?

I went Sonos Arc+Sub+ 2 Era 100s, and it's really good for our use case. Semi-expensive, but worth it to me. I'll probably upgrade to the Era 300s in the future.
