We are going to start building our bbq island soon. Well, I started adding ideas to make the backyard feel more open.
Currently there is a gate and stucco wall around the pool that we feel makes it look small. We would like to add some more concrete where the planter and wall currently are to make it wider.
We have all the tools necessary to demo concrete saw, jackhammer, etc., but are concerned about the concrete pad that the stucco wall sits on. Is this something that could potentially damage the integrity of the pool structure? And, this would be best left to a professional? Ideally I’d love to get rid of all the brick, but the entire backyard has brick so that isn’t in the budget and the pool was done 4 years ago with stonescape.
I feel like removing the wall and gate would really make a difference. We don’t have kids. And, if we did have a kid, we would add the removable fence in the future.
