Dynamax has introduced their "short" approach into the DX3 and XL platforms.

At 34'
DX3 (32KD) with DD8-375/1050 and allison 3200
XL (3200KD) with Cummins L9 450/1250 allison 3200, now we're talking! at 34' this is a beast that can actually tow what it is "rated" at.

Thank god for that extra kidney I have been lugging around all these years!

Slap a front drive axle and t case I will give a lung too!

Strongly suggest a whole LOT of due diligence on any Nexus product.

Forgot to mention the chassis is 33,000 so a CCC of around 9-10,000 just guessing.
With 450/1250 and the 3200 allison you can actually load it and tow with it, all while going uphill 🤣

I’ve seen you over on the Dynamax forums asking for this :)

My parents have a 34KD xl and it’s a beast compared to my 37BH ForceHD. Amazing difference in that 100hp.

The 32 will be awesome and I LOVE that bathroom layout except the shower is a little small when you walk them. Hopefully they upsize that a little on the XL. 👍

🤣 do you have the same screen name over there?
I got a DM from BClemens to put my money where my mouth is now. That crow is going to taste pretty bad 🤣 Though not as bad as when I have to concede to @regor in the political forums, thats down right painful!

Congrats to you and your parents on your choice of "C"s. That extra HP and torque seems to come into play so much sooner on the RPM range?? I either need to wait a couple years for a low mileage used unit or off that extra kidney and lung!

I got an idea--you could trade your Force in on one and then I can come visit and buy it from you in say 2025;)

I need the bunks for the kids, sorry :p

I was really surprised how much more power the XL had, it's really night and day (this is talking 350HP ISL vs 450HP ISL, no experience with the DD8).

You really only need one Kidney and Lung anyway so just go for it :D

The shower--I am 100% in agreement that shower is too small, I did here from BClemens that they had been using a 24 x 36 in as many units as possible and were going to standardize a 28is x 36 at some point moving forward. I looked at the Europa 32KD and I think you can rather easily pull the shower and replace with a 30 x 36 unit, maybe even a 34 x 34 neo angle. I got some assembly line pics from dynamax on the constrcutin and it looks easy peasy??

It would take a lot more than a price point for me to ever buy a Nexus, JMO!
There is a ton of shorter Super "C"s on the smaller 19,500-22,000 chassis but not enough carrying capacity and way under powered to tow anything near the 10K rating of the hitch. Again JMO

Thats what makes the short XL kind of holy grail if you want to tow heavy at speed in the mountains, 33,000 chassis with 9-10K carrying capacity and 450/1250 backed by a trans that can truely handle that load. But as you point out it is at a huge price point:(

Its just nice to see the market start to make a shift to smaller units without sacrificing capacity, in other words finally something over built a bit!

Come on--Kids are over rated!

I agree totaly the 450L feels much more than 100hp over the 350L.

The DD8 is comparable to the 350 L9, for me its like the ford chevy deal, it just aint a diesel unless its a cummins???

I have family in WA that have a renegade toter with the DD13 525/1850 and a 4500 allison, that thing is insane.

So do you go by Paradise on the dynamax forum?

That's pretty cool but sucks for the guys that got 'stuck' with the DD8's as I'm sure that'll hurt resale in the future...
