Hey RDP, I have a young friend who needs a bravo transom assembly. The one he has on his old boat is worn out beyond repair. He's looking for a good used one. Something that doesn't need rebuilding. He can't afford new and he is leary about the used ones on ebay. Anyone have a good one laying around for sale? Thanks

He needs the whole transom assembly or just a gimbal ring?

Just in case he’s interested in new but sort of aftermarket, SEI Marine is selling new transoms usually at a lower cost vs Merc/depending where you shop one out…They are also selling Bravos uppers and lowers too.

Wow! That's pretty cheap. You know anyone who has used those? Never heard of that company.

My Brother in Law is a Mercury Master Tech and he said they are built loose (his words). They told him send it back if it's a failure on our end we'll send a replacement. Meanwhile the customer is down and he was out all the labor. He won't install one again and warranty it.

Just to qualify who they are this is their business.
