In 30 years of building pools I don’t think ever lowered build prices.

There would have to be decreases across the board of every aspect of the build. That will never happen. Distributors, Building materials, pvc, pool equipment etc nearly all are publicly traded manufactures / distributors w share holders. The main way to hold margins in a down market with less sales is to have increased profit margins. Since they’ve all raised expectations of costs they won’t go backwards period. Concretc, steel, and fuel costs can lower that may save couple thousand overall on project, but in the big picture you wouldn’t even realize any savings, since about every 3-4 months there‘s increases that raise build costs.

Was only a few years back 45k range would cover avg pool and spa, today that’s closer to 80k with less profit margin
plus deck, plus firepit, plus plus plus.

I got a used swim spa I’m having shipped over. Couldn’t torture myself with a pool build and going into debt right now to do it would be bad. Total all in will be less than 20k. Stuff adds up quickly spa mover cranes spa pad electric upgrade and hookup and gazebo to keep the thing out of the sun. Maybe a couple of those Bluetooth rock speakers to finish it off.

Still upgrading the rest of the outdoor space also it’s gonna end up at 30-35k total with all this stuff and no pool
