I am complete novice when it comes to offroading. We have a gmc 2500 diesel and dont plan on any rock crawling or massive articulation.

My question is, any basic trails out of calico that are pretty much "dirt roads". We are camping at the calico campground and i think my kids will get a kick out of some basic offroading but dont want to end up in a precarious spots haha

You could back peddle a bit to Outlet Center road and putt around a bit there. I have another spot but dont want to burn it to the Internet. Real mild and fun. Message me I can fill ya in!

When leaving the exit of Calico caproid go left. Make first left at wash/trail. Good easy trails up the wash there and some mines to check out.

trails are easy, but I think there's a lot of chop and washboard in that area. May not be the most comfortable experience in a 3/4 ton. Definitely air down those tires

anyone who has stayed at the campground, do they have a hose bib to fill your fresh water tank for non hook up sites?
