Now that my son has a place in Havasu he is changing the registration on his golf cart, PWC's and one car to Arizona. He tells me there is a third party service in Havasu that does this but they do not answer the phone. Anyone have an info on the service or what paperwork he might need to take with him?

I've used them before... You pay an additional service over MVD.

yea, this is who i've used as well, all in all very simple process. Always bring everything you have, depending on what he is going to register, there might be different things needed.

they're at 1641 Mesquite Ave Suite 102, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403

Why would you not just walk into MVD?
I walked in last Monday and was out in 15min.
Also, the lady behind the desk mentioned that they're going even further into online services sometime next year.
Don't be surprised if they close the LHC office and maybe use an independent contract user.

Gramps,

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of his fees in his current state compared to the fees charged in Arizona. I don't know if he would be willing to share that info, but I would be curious to know. 👍

My parents shipped one of their trucks to Florida to use while they are in town, and thought they would be saving "Gobs of money." In reality, the registration fees went down quite a bit compared to CA, but the insurance fees went up. We were all pretty surprised at that. For them, it's pretty much the same fees, registration and insurance, to what they were paying here in CA.

I would imagine the overall costs are much lower in AZ.

I was there last Friday around 9. I was only customer in the place.

Old titles/reg and an ID. Theyre really easy to use. Also arizona DMV is really easy to get a quick appointment at. I was in and out in a half hour to change my license over.

The pwc might have to wait 6 months. I know when I moved to az the azgf said you need to be a resident for 6 months before I could transfer my boat over.

I just waited til my ca tags expired which was almost a year I think.

to be continued........they forgot to bring all of the required paperwork. The only thing they could switch is their piece of crap electric Mustang....CA was $750 AZ is $650 next trip will be the pwc's, golf cart, 5th wheel and the pick'emup truck

Just go in and get a drivers lic or ID card
swapping
Registration is a Basic transaction and 15 minutes

Go on line to see what’s needed for an ID card - google
i think it’s a birth certificate and Ca drivers lic and an AZ address

Nothing like a Ca DMV

The MVD in havasu is a cake walk. Why you'd pay a 3rd party with an easy MVD like Havasu I don't understand. Walk in, 30 mins later walk out with just about anything and everything you could every imagine completed.

I've never had more than 1 person in front of me at the MVD in Havasu. Sometimes I walk right up. I haven't seen any need to use a 3rd party service.

As for paperwork, I would imagine he just needs a title. I'd bring the previous registration also. Golf cart might be a little tricky if it hasn't been registered anywhere before. You need some kind of manufacturing certificate that I have been unable to get for my 1994 EZ-GO. Golf cart requirements are on the MVD website.

Probably because they don’t want anyone in line when they go there 🤣

The MVD is right by College St Brewery.
