So Today I walk out and hit the key fob to unlock the 07 classic Chebby and it’s dead not workie
‘swap out battery still no worky

ok

grab the Jeep keys hit the button no workie either….
Drove the jeep yesterday all good….

Lady across the street her fob doesn’t work either in her newer Chevy….

Did we get hit?
Not enough porn ?
Solar Flash?

Wife’s car was in the garage and it’s ok

Do I need to find another boating forum ?
I don’t want to buy a ford or a dodge….

Do I need to reprogram the truck & the key fob?
Right now I’m locked out of the truck….
RD SUX !

Happy Friday y’all

Did you happen to get a new router or Internet recently or your neighbors maybe? Sometimes that can create a dead zone...

Unhook the truck batteries for a few minutes or pull the main ignition fuse under the hood for a few minutes then reinstall it.
This SHOULD reset the anti theft gizmos.
If that doesn’t work I’m no help.
My previous Cummins did it twice.
Our ford fleet vans would occasionally do it.
Debbie’s old Durango did it once.
I have no idea what caused it.
Like restarting a computer.
I’d try that first, might get lucky.
When our cars did it the fob did nothing at all.
When you turned the key the engine would turn over but never fire because the proximity sensors in car does not see the fob.
Unhook the batteries, reboot that bitch.
It’s not the fobs it’s the shit in the vehicle not reading the fob.

Something happened outside to affect the vehicles, not the fobs. Hopefully the computers aren’t cooked.

All three, I'd be looking for interference of some type. One of them, I'd go with low car battery or bad connection.

Something zapped the ecu’s. The vehicles are in the immobilized state due to anti theft being triggered by any number of things.
It’s not that uncommon really.
There was an event outside that did it to these vehicles.
Tampering would have likely set off the alarms but it’s possible.
First step, reboot computers by unhooking the batteries.
If there is no other ecu damage this should fix it.
If there is other issues then it might not.
It’d be really interesting to figure out what did this to multiple vehicles in one location at the same time.
That’s some weird shit and I keep picturing some kids doing something stupid to cause it.
Any porch cameras on?

Probably fucking aliens!!

Well, I did find out a couple years back that tig welding on high frequency does some neat stuff  I wouldn't be surprised if a newbie with a ham or a linear could do it as well.

It sounds like somebody hacked your neighborhood with a "Flipper Zero" type device.

I'm not sure how, but I've read they can make your remotes not function after the flipper is deployed?

Too many things out at once in your 'hood for it to be anything else imho.
I called the Sheriff dept to make a verbal report and wanted them to know

My brother had a similar experience a few months back near his home Canton, Texas. He parked at the local police station to submit a bid, came out to find he couldn't get into his locked car. Called his wife to bring out the spare fob, she did and her car wouldn't start when she went to leave. Both cars were then towed back home where the problems had vanished.

They had parked near the base of a newly installed antenna for the PD, it was assumed the energy from the antenna was causing the problem so the city posted a "No Parking" sign in the location. His was an F-250 and hers was a Ford SUV of some type.
