It's it just me or does anyone else feel like they spend more time cleaning their boat then using? My case is that mine is 28 years old and starting to show signs of it. We went out for 4 hours today and I think I've spent 3 cleaning it. 😂

Do you detail it before taking it to the detailer?

@02HoWaRd26 and I have problems.

We are spoiled, any more if I can't do 4 days or more on the water it's not worth launching. We are planning Mothers day with my son and his wife and we may only be able to do the weekend The wife is already complaining about clean up Vs time on the water.

I spend about 1 1/2 to 2 man hours cleaning up after normal use. Had 3 of us spraying / drying with the wife clearing out the stuff. Half hour deal, no problem.

When we clean it it takes about 1 1/2 like you said. 9/10 times it takes 2 minutes to back it in storage and tell Chris to pick it up 😂😂

When we towed from California we wiped it down inside and out after every launch on the ramp, maybe 15 minutes, and detailed it, maybe 3 hours, after every trip. So, in the summer a detail every other week or so.

Now that we live here full time I wipe down the interior every other launch or so and wipe down the outside maybe every 3 or 4 launches. We boat 3-5 times a week so when you know your launching within 48 hours it starts to seem pointless to detail it every other day.

I’ll pull my boats out. Have them washed by my wash guy. Then wax them myself. Sometimes I’ll wax them 2/3 times before I cover them and put them in storage. 🤷🏼‍♂️

What a great weekend. Last year we took the bikes down to the channel. Good time, quick and easy. This year we had friends come out and they wanted to get on the water.
Started out Thursday at the street fair. Friday we hit the Parade of Power. Not sure how many boats but it was a hell of a showing.

Left the channel for Topock pretty much when the last parade boat went through. Figured we’d beat the rush from the DS participants. Turns out they finished faster than i would have. Plenty of boats going by us at decent speed. My wife plays spotter so i never get surprised.

Got up Saturday morning and was 99% sure it was too windy for the shootout to run. All reports said it was a go so we went. Pretty cool event until the accident. We pulled up anchor almost immediately and hit the channel. Hung out with @Bullhead bully @War Canoe for a little while watching the show and eating some channel pizza. Went back to the house to watch the show for a while. There were A LOT of boats getting launched.

Rolled the Hot Rod Skater 28’ w/ 450’s …
Went to Bullhead and back. Great run! The gorge was spectacular, as usual.
Saw my Cougar in the channel again.
I was blessed to drive the beast…I really enjoyed how different this 450 boat ran compared with Paul’s other 28’ Skater with 300 XS engines. Huge difference..this thing is so much more controlled and happy. Power helps this boat handle and perform with full fuel. Our Florida crew is headed home. We sure like having them visit the Havasu Church headquarters. I think they like the way we roll. 😁

38 PQ for 10 years. Put it in and out every time we used it. Yes, a lot of time spent cleaning. 6 years of owning a Center Console and RIB. Pull them out and wipe them down. If the Granddaughter trashes them, hose the floor down. Simple is good. Do not miss the big girl. Had a blast with it.

That is not us. Original engine color was black. Bully went to white. He likes it. Easier to clean!
