Saw this posted on Facebook in one of the Santa Clarita Valley pages.

Woman in line at Costco, totally nonchalant, to return her Christmas Tree “because it is dead” on January 4th.
I saw the whole thing go down with my own two eyes about 30 minutes ago.
If I didn’t see it, I wouldn’t believe that someone had so little moral values or lack of conscience.

.

Heartbreaking to think she may have needed that money so much, she lost all self respect and dignity for it.

I wish I hadn’t felt so offended initially, otherwise I would have tried to talk to her to find out what was going on. Makes me sad and sorry.

SHE DID GET A REFUND -
NOT HAPPILY THOUGH.

IT WAS QUESTIONED, VERIFIED PURCHASE ON HER ACCOUNT AND SHE WAS SHAMMED TO A SMALL DEGREE....
BUT I DON’T THINK IT FAZED HER BECAUSE SHE HAS NO CONSCIENCE -
SHE DIDNT SEEM TO MIND THAT I TOOK A PHOTO AND SAID “ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!!!l

We saw two different people returning their fake trees the day after Christmas. They didn’t even take them apart and put them back in the box, one even still had tinsle on it. I can’t imagine the shame of standing in the return line.

That should qualify as justified, more invested than a dead old christmas tree. Probably had the kids swipe it from the lot earlier in the month anyway. That photo is worth a thousand words. :(

Actually, it looks like some one cut down a spindly ass cedar or evergreen from somebody's yard!. Look at the trunk.

My Girlfriend has worked for Costco for more than 34 years .They have an employee FB Page where they talk about the members B.S. ,believe me the dead Christmas tree is a regular thing every year ,but some of the other stuff makes you wonder how they stay in business. As an example a lady brought back her husbands 4 year old underwear because his balls now hungout the leg holes

Just because you can doesn’t mean you should!

People like that is what is F’d up with society! And when they change the return policy it’s because of people like her.

I buy a ton of crap from Depot and when I do a return run, I hate it! They are usually really good for returns and my returns are usually items when you need 3 but buy 6 just in case and your on a job....

Whew.... any way TGIF! I think I need a cold beer

Cheers

I saw an Asian woman return a printer to Costco that was 9+ years old. They had to go into 3 computers to verify it.

Hey, when you buy a $69 printer and use it for 9 years and it breaks that's what it's supposed to do. Cheap ass mf'ers

My bro is a manager at Costco. If you do abuse the return policy, they will flag your account.

unfcknblvbl:(
I would be in 100% agreement if they make a policy stating that the Christmas tree you just purchased is already dead and can not be return. All trees non-returnable, even if it suddenly started growing again:p

I agree their return policy is about as good as it gets.....and actually one of the reasons I buy certain things there, just in case something goes wrong..............that being said I too have seen people abuse the system and I just scratch my head.

They actually had to change the rules about 10 years ago on technology products limiting returns to 90 days as people were just bringing back their TV/Computer every year or 18 months when technology/pricing made a big move, thinking they had bought their last one ever. It's only a matter of time until they change the rest of their policies to match............on the other hand a hot dog and a drink still only costs $1.50 so who knows if they ever will change the policy :)

The asshole American is becoming the reality. These people have no integrity, they are just walking shitbags. Their children see this behavior and will emulate it when they grow older.

Yeah, I'm an old grumpy fucker. Go to hell. o_O

I worked on a project out of State quite a few years ago. Our crew was on site with others out of towners for about 3 months. We stayed in a motel but one of the other groups had nice townhouses they were staying in. Turns out the contractor they worked for fully furnished the townhouses for the crew while they were there. He just returned everything back to Costco when the job was over. Beds, Couches, TVs, Dishes, Dirty Sheets, ECT. I pretty sure that contractor is no longer in business.
