Credit Card Points Question

Was wondering if it is possible to transfer points from one person to another???

We have almost 200k Marriott Bonvoy points and planned on using a chunk for our travel ball tournament in Phoenix. Got news today that hotel suffered fire damage so we are now being transferred to a Hilton.

Can I sign up for a Hilton card and then send a friend my Marriott points in exchange for Hilton points??

Sorry for being a cheap ass in advance......lol but at $300/night it would be nice to use points for the trip.

This...you don't have to stay at their hotel. find a Marriott close by. I travel a lot with my job and am points minded...I'm going to a week long conference in Long Beach in a couple weeks..staying down the road from a lot of co-workers bc I have status, and 2 I want my points. Expense department has no issue with it as its cheaper with my status anyway lol

Can't do it. Whole team has to stay at the same Hotel....... and it is cool because the kids all get to hang with each other downstairs. They do a pizza night and all sorts of stuff for them.

I just signed up for a Hilton Amex so throwing a Hail Mary that we get the bonus points in time. Worst case I just pay with the card and get the bonus points along with the stay.

If you have a plat you have some kind of status with Hilton, I never signed up for it but you may be able to do a points transfer to amex, then over to Hilton?

Already thought of that and going to call tomorrow.

So found out I can gift up to 100k through Marriott. Now have to find out if Hilton does the same and find someone to trade / gift with.

Either gift the points or you can make a reservation and put another person on the reservation. I’ve done the later several times for my mom. Use my points, she can check-in and stays for free. Any incidentals will go to here CC swiped upon check-in.

You may be able to transfer from Marriott Bonvoy to Hilton Honors through an airline program.

But it will cost you a shitload of points, so it is a really bad deal.

If you have a friend with Hilton Honors points, they can make a reservation with points in your name.

You can return the favor by booking them into a Marriott property.
