Picking up a new toyhauler next month and planning to use it hooked-up fulltime at a campground in Havasu this summer. Thinking about ways to keep the sun from eating it alive. One possibility I've been kicking around is having a custom fabric cover made that I can keep the slides open and have access to the entry door without having to take it off. Has anybody ever done this? And where can I get this fabricated?

Did you ever end up finding out any info on this? I’ll have mine out there all summer and would like to protect it as well. I’m for sure going to get it a good coat of wax but if there’s something else I can do to protect it I would

What park in Havasu?
Most have rules about covering trailer.
I have a parking canopy on one side (morning sun), then a 9’ awning shade on the other side that is attached directly to the trailer. Thus blocking the afternoon sun.

Considered a ShadeRV roof shade, but the mounting system sucks and IMO will not hold up in a Havasu Monsoon

I plan to purchase a $400 cover from etrailer.com and give it a shot this summer. I will just leave my slides open and cinch down the cover as best I can. Hopefully the winds out there don't turn it into a parachute and destroy it. It's a much cheaper alternative that getting a custom cover made. What I save on a custom cover will just about pay for Ceramic Coating which we will need anyways since we do a lot of desert camping / off-roading in the winter. Figure it can't hurt having a cover on it for extra protection?

I see a lot of those at the Islander but now your talking $3K for a shade cover - ouch!!! I will need to check with my campground. Hopefully it's allowed?

Covers are allowed where I’ll be staying at in Parker. Do many people who store their trailers out there use them? I’m planning on getting a good wax job before I bring I out. Heard ceramic wouldn’t do much for mine since it’s a gel coat finish. But I don’t know personally. I know how windy it gets there. Wondering if I’ll be fine as long I get a good wax job at the beginning of the season?
