D1 Performance

Wanted to get the boat lake tuned after I converted to efi as the guy/tuner I got all my stuff from basiclly left me with a base tune… Anyways I was going to be in the area for a week so called D1 and asked if he could schedule me in for a Friday as that’s when I’ll be getting there and he said he will get back to me as he normally dosent lake tune on Fridays. Got me in Friday morning and was done right around 3. Kept me informed along the way and told me the boat needed an impeller and housing so he knocked that out before going on the water. As far as the tune, the boat runs MUCH better all the way from idle to maybe 3/4 throttle as I didn’t want to take it up any higher than that because Dane told me my ujoints are on the way out (I would of had him change them but the time was not there) No more soot like I had before even after 5 days on the water! He explained everything and why he did certain things with the setup I had as well as the downfalls of the rigging (I already knew of).

I will 100% be back when I get to something that’s out of my realm in the future. Didn’t feel like I was getting bent over the rails like most boat shops out there it seems.

I was very impressed with the amount of work that was going down within the small shop along with all the day to day stuff that gets done.

Treated my boat with care as well. Shoes off and boat looked exactly how it was when I brought it to him which was straight from my detail guy.

He's great! I have no first-hand experience on my boat, but he's done a ton of stuff over the years on my buddies boat, back before he even had his own shop. Solid family business!
