Wanted to get everyone’s opinions on a eliminator 28 fun deck vs a cobra 270 python ? We currently are looking into a new or newer boat 2017 for our family and wanted to get some peoples opinions on what boat and boat builder they prefer and why . Both are deck boats but very different in styling . Pros and cons to both builders and boats please . We have never ridden in either one . It’s much appreciated

I like both as each bring different things.
Eliminator seems like more of a deck boat where the Cobra is more like an open bow cat with front walk off added.
Eliminators cockpit seems more open, stairs out the back and the open walk off front.
Cobras cockpits seems slightly smaller, no stairs out the back and the walk off front is smaller but functional.
I do like the hide away Bimini on the cobra and would prefer to have the full bench seat across the back without the stairs as with the Eliminator. Also like the looks of the Cobra over the Eliminator and there a fewer on the water (depending on where you boat) compared to Eliminator which is always nice to have something that there are not 10 other ones rolling around on any given weekend.
Both builders deliver a good product and I don’t think there are any cons to either. Hopefully you can poke around and ride in both. Small things, like how the helm feels sitting in the seat, cup holder locations, built in cooler access and storage layout come with just spending time moving around the boat.
Depending on what your time frame is, build time would be something to consider if you decide to go new and are wanting it for the season. And of course price of each with the standard options and the add ones you’re wanting.
Have fun shopping!

Like said Eliminator is more traditional in style of deck boot and for what I've seen the look hasn't had a real change in 20yrs
I think this is a good boat if you want a platform that has been used by many and tweeked in there own way to somewhat tell the differences
Cobra came up with the idea of the family that want's a deck B but want's to keep that not so deck boot look and feel Nordic did it with the X-flight
if front loading needs to be low for your needs then yes there is a height difference and rear entry is a latter not water line entry but that's one of many thing you notice that makes Cobra not so deck boatish

looks like one in stock to go look at

By far the best boat for you and your needs is what water ways you float and what if any tubing skiing ect are on the agenda

either way both are going to be nice solid rigs
