That hair move is just funny, and shows a surprising amount of humility. People that can make fun of themselves are the best!

I met him when I was younger. He was kind of a dick at the time but this was also at the height of his career. My Dad was very good friends with Larry Wilcox who played Jon Baker. I got to watch a few episodes get filmed and was even in one. Stayed a few nights at Larry's house.

Most of those cop lip sync videos are pretty damn stupid. But I think the CHP one was by far the best. I can see how they can really help show law enforcement as normal, down to earth people though.

It was around mid to late 80’s when he entered one of the restaurants at the now LA Airport Sheraton Hotel. Not the name at the time.
I was working on a reach-in cooler in the dining room.

21 people in his entourage. One hot waitress, Alice worked that group with the restaurant manager who handed him the check.
They were there quite some time and ran up a hell of a bill + cocktails and he left an autograph picture for a tip.

Could have been an oversight.
Alice the server lit up the manager for not adding the tip automatically to the bill.
I dunno, you make the call.
A good argument that some tales about stars have more sides to the story.

One daughter worked minor roles in Hollywood for a spell.
She did a two part episode for one of those LA Law kinda shows.

She played the daughter of a LEO that had been murdered.

They gave her the wrong air dates for the first episode to show on TV and it ran a week early.

She was walking down Fremont st with her GFs in Vegas and Tourists recognized her from the show and made all kinds of wacky remarks.
“We know who killed your dad” kinda stupid takes and it really startled her until she connected the dots.

More to the stories when people are perceived as rude or dicks.

Paul McCartney said he's constantly having people shoving phones in his face asking him to talk to their mother or friend that's a fan or selfies. He refuses. Album and picture autographs only.
Price of fame maybe, but after a while its a BIG pain and one has the right to refuse is his take, but he's comes across a dick.

I think hes just trying to make a buck anyway he can.
I ran into him a few years ago when we were shooting a couple of houses up from his. He told the security guard that was placed near his house that he knew a lot of people and crew would want to come by for an autograph so just let them come up to the house, REALLY? We were there a few days so he came by for breakfast and lunch everyday and acted like he was part of the crew. Wasnt a bad guy by any means.

I'm guessing he's been a little humbled since the 80's.

Its funny to see the stars of yesterday and how they act now, and yeah I can see some of them being full of themselves and arrogant to an extent, but it is what it is, I met Roger Mosley while shooting the last season of Magnum P.I. in Hawaii, he played "TC" and was kind if a dick, but still cool to be on set and meet him. never got to meet Tom Selleck, but wanted to. I used to love all those shows, and also loved watching CHIPS!

I saw him early in the morning while in a van on the way to set I had no idea who it was. There was an old, white rolls royce (the 1 we can all afford) in front of us at the light. Some good looking woman was crossing the street. He watched her from 1 side of the street to the other while he was bebopping to his music with the window down and arm hanging out. Kinda funny

At the end of the video the CHP thank him for donating his time (as well as all the personnel that was in the video).

I think a lot of actors have a hard time moving on from long running TV shows, either because they weren't very good actors to begin with or they get pigeon-holed as "X" character, or both.

Because that’s their job and literally all they’re required to do.

If you spent 12 hour days memorizing lines over and over ad nauseam, you could do it, too [emoji106]

I did a season the The West Wing and Allison Janney would memorize her lines but only remembering the 1st letter of each word. For example-----------I went to the grocery store and saw my next door neighbor there too. I W T T G S A S M N D N T T
I thought it was crazy and talked to her about it 1 day. I could never, ever to that. I have a hard enough time remembering where I was yesterday.

I tried acting in my younger days. But couldn't remember lines to save my life. I was an extra on a TV commercial and one movie. Paid ok but was so boring decided behind the camera work wasn't for me...…………

CHiPs was on METV for awhile. I downloaded all the seasons for my nephew and he likes the show.
