I'm not a country fan, but he is obviously a legend. That was so bad. Holy shit
The awards were in Vegas, it’s the norm now.
In Vegas Celine’ Dion, Brittany, Olivia NJ all lip sync on stage now.
Half, sometimes all the music is canned too.
Ya walk in the theater and get seated and a cheesy pit band is playing warm up entertainment.
Then when the show starts the band melts away leaving the audience thinking the show is still live music.
These tickets ain’t cheap either.
I stand corrected.Actually...if I'm not mistaken, they were in Nashville. Which in my opinion makes it worse...
I also turned the channel during the bashingDidnt see the Garth performance.. turned the channel to "Gunsmoke" when Brad paisley and Carrie Underwood started in on the Trump Bashing in the beginning
I also turned the channel during the bashing
these "awards" shows are total b.s.
such a disappointment that the entertainer of the year can't sing a friggin song live
I get the technical aspects but come on...either "perform" or stay home....
I caught a bunch of crap at a Garth concert last year when I was convinced a couple of songs were synced....now I know...
Real country....dead years ago....
It wasn't bashing, it was f-ing joke. They spread it around pretty good for entertainers.
Yep.
I grew up with my Dad playing Charlie Pride, Hank Williams, etc on his reel to reel daily.
"Country" music today makes my skin crawl. I don't want to hear about how this guy or that guy is good, save it.
Singing about how your old lady left, chewing tobacco and spitting, or how you drink Budweiser at the bar, all in a warbley voice doesn't make it "Country".
The only "Country" award to be given is who is the least obnoxious and talentless poser in the whole bunch of talentless posers.
Throw in the political piling on from these self important urban cowboys and it adds up to something I choose to avoid at all costs.
I realize this is all subjective, but in my opinion I'd rather be forced to listen to cop killer rap...and I fucking HATE rap.
To be fair, all awards shows have deteriorated into outright garbage.
The last decent performance was Green Day doing 21guns at the Grammys, and Stephanie's duet with sir Elton John.
