I just wanted to share this story because I’m sure I’m not the only one in here living on a Main Street.
So yesterday my wife and I had to go to Phoenix for a quick Dr Appt and left our boys home with the babysitter for the first time ever. Literally 1 Mile before we got home we got a call with the babysitter freaking out which instantly scared me to death. We pulled up to the scene minutes after it had happened which scared me even more. Thankfully my boys were the first thing I saw and I’ve never held them so damn tight. Thank god they were in the backyard playing in the sand box.
A male around the age of 70 was in a Honda Accord and is believed to of had a stroke or heart attack while driving. Witnesses say he was face down with his foot on the gas pedal doing 100+ mph at the time of impact. First he hit my F-250 which corkscrewed in the air and spun it 180 degrees, then hit the trailer, then continued through 2 more of my neighbors yards. My neighbor had just put his 4 and 8 year old little girls in the car to leave and was talking to his wife next to the car where the final point of impact was. He heard it coming looked over and tackled her out of the way from being killed. Thankfully my truck and trailer slowed him down enough so that the girls or the parents were not hurt or more then likely killed.
Any other Friday I’m usually out front working on our vehicles or washing them with my two little boys but yesterday thank god I was not. It’s a miracle nobody else was hurt or killed other then the gentleman driving. It really puts life into perspective and how quick bad shit happens. Don’t forget to tell your wife and kids how much you love them because you truly never know.
I’ll probably eat shit on insurance with my truck because it was bran-used and I can not come close to replacing it in this market but it truly saved a family’s life last night being parked where it was so Im just fine with that
it’s only a truck and money so who gives a shit. Be sure to always tell your family how much you love them because life can change in a blink of an eye.
Enjoy your weekend everybody and be safe!
