So, moved to a nice place in TN where there are slight hills. Great for scenery but not so good to get the MH into the driveway. The road has a grade and the driveway also has a fairly steep grade to it.

The MH is a 33 ft class A 22K F53 chassis with (of course) a sizable overhang. By entering uphill on a left angle from the street I just rub on the left end compartment bottom, but make it. Getting out is a whole lotta swearing.

I figure I need to build a ramp to fill in the street/ drive connection to avoid the problem but how to measure what I need and what to build it out of? I really do t want to “trial and error” engineer it if there is a better way.

any ideas?

Is this a fairly large piece of property that you could reshape the driveway on your property? If not, maybe a lift kit on the motor motorhome. 🤷‍♂️ airbags where you can raise the rear end for a short time.

The rollers are an idea but I think the cabinet base is still lower at that angle. I’ll have to check that

It's like figuring approach angle on a 4wd. then transfer it to the driveway, most of the time changing the curb and gutter is not an option due to water flow, so reshaping the drive to not be as sharp of an angle is the option

Figuring the angle is easy, cutting back the driveway will be harder.. Or buy large shoring plates to bridge to low point. Careful with rollers, your transferring the weight of the coach to the back of the frame.

The bridge is what I feel is the best and most cost efficient way to do this. The driveway reshaping is not likely to be a solution. I’ll get some pics up later. The only one I have now is attached and not likely much help. 😂

you can make the ramp up longer, you could length it by curving it, add a little retainer wall and curve it around to incorporate your mail box into it
or
make it flatter at the street and then a slight ramp once the coach is on the driveway

most likely need to completely redo the driveway

Can you install air bags and onboard compressor with controller over air to lift the back then return it to regular height? On the air ride diesels they just install a momentary switch to fill the rear for this exact situation but F53 is a sprung chassis.

Get some lumber. Start trail and error. You will get it pretty quick by just adding until you're clear
