A buddy of mine bought a pontoon boat this weekend that looks like it spent a season docked in the water. It was in Havasu so you get an idea of the water chemistry. There is some scale buildup on the drive and pontoons but he's not sure what the best method for removing it is. Any ideas?
And I don't know why my iPhone pics always load sideways.. image.jpg

Maybe vinegar will be good enough without being too harsh.

Actually we keep our Tritoon in the water full time and the only way to get that stuff off is with Muriatic acid....best way to do it is to call Adrenaline and have them clean the bottom...usually around $300 and it looks like new :D

I don't think vinegar will budge it. We thought about CLR but haven't tried it. Thought about muriatic acid..

Possibly...not sure how it will affect the aluminum. Gotta get the dilution right and rinse well. It's worked ok for me on pool tile.
