Freakin hell, Due to my travelling, I picked up a cold the other week. I have no idea how a human body can produce so much phlegm. Apparently this can cause the Eustachian tubes to clog. Think of flying and trying to get your ears to pop and they don't. Well mine have clogged and won't release. It has now been over a week and still no signs of release. i have literally tried every well known and some rather odd ways to get them to release and nothing. I can't get into an ENT because I don't currently have one and I have to wait for the first open "New Patient" appt. Whatever happened to being able to get into a specialist without this bullshit first meeting?

Sorry, just ranting because this noise in my ear is maddening...

Eat some really really hot peppers, in chili or salsa etc. Usually does the trick right when the sweats hit ya ....:p🤪

Fresh Ghost Peppers thinly sliced and cooked into chili is one of my go-tos...imparts great flavor, turn it up a few notches will clear your pipes up good too!

YMMV......🥵🤬😱😆

You can also use the solution for children's wax build up, alcohol based solvent made to melt it's way through.

Go to an Urgent Care or ER instead. Your throat/tubes are likely slightly inflamed. Make sure your phone battery is fully charged while you wait....but chances are you'll get helped sooner or later.
Never had success with ear flushes, our ear specialist used a vacuum to clear waxy obstructions. Learned a shit-ton about this stuff after several surgeries our son needed to remove tumors, graphs, prosthetics & reconstruction. He's lucky to have hearing.

The ranger at nasimiento turned me on to hydrogen peroxide when I have earache.

have someone pour it in your ear while you're laying on your side with some kleenex handy.

That only works from the outside. The ET's are what connects the inner ear to the throat

The worst is when the tubes are plugged and you fly. Ouch.

Doesn't sudafed help? Little red pills are great. If it works for your nose it should work your ears and let it drain out?

What about this?

Try a saline spray?

You need some anti inflammatory meds to get the swelling to go down. Benedryl should help too.

So wife just went through this last week! Complaining about ear pressure and everything sounding muted. She couldn’t hear worth a shit kept saying “what” and getting really frustrated. All started with just a regular could and she just had a coughing fit again last night. She tried everything and nothing worked NOTHING! She still can’t hear great but it’s definitely better than last week.

Good luck!
