Is the caulking , sealant , or adhesive suppose to be really tight in this area by the grill?
Intake -Berkeley pump.

It looks like you have an 'E' model pump and that EPOXY bedding compound better be 'solid, tight, and no cracking' .....
IF there is any movement, that's not only where your boat leaks, but it is the ridged MOUNTING of the pump itself . Any movement of the pump and it will only get worse ........
