What would be the "least" (purchase/maintenance cost, ease cleaning/trailering, etc.) new boat capable (seaworthy, respectable speed) of the Miami-Key West Poker Run?

The Chaudron SV-27?

The P1 28-SS?

Just curious.

For those prices, it would open up your choices to quite a wide array of boats. If you could find one, something like a used 24' Skater.....or if you're looking for a deep V, pick up a 31' Cigarette Bullet.

Love the classic Cigarettes, but they'd be significantly more work than something like the suggested (new, smaller, outboard), yes?

And is a 24' Skater seaworthy enough? I believe the FPC has an entry requirement of 25'.

Maybe a 24' Bat Boat? But unavailable new.

A 28' is available, but inboard only.

Hondo 5/8 runner bottom. 😊

One of the things I learned in KW, is that the second biggest reef in the world lies just east of the keys.

Yeah so?

There are no waves or surf around the keys! The waves break out on the reef, and the water around the keys is like glass. That's one of the reasons it's so clear, there are no waves churning up the sand.

If the weather was nice, you probably could run a flat easily! The main problem would be, a lack of fuel capacity...

The ideal boat would have HUGE tanks and the ability to sip fuel all day.

Just my 2cents

A good friend is anticipating delivery of his new 29 nitra w/ 400’s in January. I expect to have it at my dock sometime in March/April. 😉

Heck your boat is a slick boat for the calmer waters down there!

The 28' Activator/Rage might be another contender if offered with a single outboard.
