I have been watching on and off since the 70’s, iv seen the last several times. Does anyone know the first?

The first season pretty much happened in the time frame of the movie. "Spear Chucker" Jones was a surgeon that Hawkeye knew in College. Jones was also an all American football player and the 4077th needed a ringer to win their football games.Just finished watching the whole show on Hulu. First episode had a black dude named spear chucker on it. I kid you not. Only made it a couple episodes though.
Those are 2 of my favorites as well...The first one was a Pilot. funny one liner, Thats Major to you! Ok Major baby.
My 2 faves are, 5 o'clock Charlie S2 EP2, and The trial of Henery Blake S2 EP8
I’ve watched it to fall asleep for 10+ years now lol. I just loop it season 1 to season 11 and start all over again. Pretty sure I can quote any episode within 15 seconds of the start
Flying out of Sky Harbor in Pheonix when TSA Pre Check wasn't very common yet I'm walking to my gate passing at least a hundred people in the regular line, I'm in heaven.Mash ended before I was teenager, I do remember my parents watching the final episode and then the reruns for the next 20 years. Lol I probably know every episode as well as others here. It was a great show and Alan Alda is always fond in my childhood memories.
Col. Flagg always solid. Also like any Major Friedman episode. Those are 2 of my favorites as well...
Any episode with Colonel Flagg is a must watch.
Early episodes also featured Marsha Strassman of Welcome back Kotter fame.
She played Hawkeye's sometime squeeze.
...she was a young hottie.
I remember spear chucker. He was written out in the episode: “operation hide behind the darky”.The first season pretty much happened in the time frame of the movie. I think your right about how long the character lasted in the series, maybe then first half of season one ... Too lazy to go look it up.
Yea, there was a whole lot of that. Every episode was nothing more than Alan Alda propping up a straw man and then knocking it down. The comedic writing and performances were outstanding but I don’t think I ever saw an episode that didn’t have a strong anti American undercurrent.Really the under current there is anti war, American bad, enemy sympathizers. Ironically the first show's airing was the same year Jane visited North Vietnam
