Great movie!

The Duke, Maureen Ohara, Yvonne De Carlo, Stephanie Powers, Patrick Wayne, and the usual "cast of regulars" that were in John Wayne movies...

Duke is hunting birds and hands a bag of 'em to his daughter to bring back to the house...."make sure these get back to Ching"...

White guys with brown makeup playing Cherokee Chiefs...

Stephanie, Yvonne, and Maureen were fuggen hot in this movie. Love the all out brawl on the slurry hill where Maureen "earned" her black eye. My favorite John Wayne movie!

I've heard that Yvonne DeCarlo was cast by the Duke himself as a personal favor to her.
Her husband was involved in a very bad car wreck, and the medical bills were wiping them out.
Duke heard about it and made sure she got the part in the film.
Everything I've read tells me that there was no more loyal friend to have than John Wayne.

I always feel lucky if I'm channel flipping and happen upon it. I have the DVD, but I still get a kick out of flipping to it on a Saturday.

Haha, started watching it last night and told the gf "I'll be up to bed in a few minutes, just want to watch part of this"....ended up watching the whole movie (for like the thousandth time)....one of my all time fav's. I like how the same actors are in many of the Duke's movies, must have been good to be part of the pack.
