Anybody else still watch it?

Fans know who Matt Wright is. He’s a full on bad ass modern day Tarzan.
(Not the Australian Matt Wright)
Matt has done numerous naked and afraid’s, both 21 and 40 day XL’s.
He once did 24 days solo in Africa, thriving the entire time, then finished up 16 more days providing for the rest of a group.
As it turns out, his smoking hot wife is just as much a savage as he is.
I just watched her episode in Mozambique. She started with a 20 year old kid from Grande Junction CO.
This kid (Dylan) had survived a bear attack, a shark attack, and a Rattlesnake bite already in his life.
He tapped on day 6 with stomach problems and possible pneumonia.
This bad ass blonde went 2 weeks solo in the middle of nowhere and walked out only losing 13 pounds total.

I haven’t watched in a while but it’s still set to record so I turned it in having my coffee this morning before I head out to run errands and then meet up with Napanut.
Couldn’t stop watching...now I’m running late!
Looks like there may be some upcoming episode with both of them?

We watch it every Sunday. Matt and his wife are truly bad ass. I too would go crazy with all the bugs.

The bugs are insane.
The swamp episodes are by far the worst to me.
Literally a million bites the first night.

Yep.
Remember in his XL Africa after 24 days solo when he met the group (who were starving) he had enough jerky made already to last him the entire 40 days.
He ended up feeding everyone then killed some more shit.

I honestly don't know. But I always lean towards these shows being bullshit, that is only because I know what really happens on one of the most popular ones and it is all complete bullshit.

Yeah they give them that in the Africa ones, but not anywhere else.

Alone is crazy.

The difference between these extreme shows and typical survivor shows is that these people win nothing. There is no money or prize.

In addition, in Africa he IS a food source.

Yes and yes. I watch it when i come across it. Pretty damn entertaining and fun to guess who’s going out first. Are there parts that are fake?? I’d say absolutely. There are too many cases where they “find” a pot to boil water or rope to tie their raft. There are also a shitload of people tapping out to be fixed.

Watch it off and on. Turn off the ones if their is a whiney member. I hate going barefoot and would likely bring shoes as my one item. I'll figure out the rest.

I believe several folks have got pretty sick with fevers and parasitic infestations. I'd never go on for that reason. Catch something you can't get rid of.....

Survivorman was my favorite because it was, from what I know, completely unstaged.

I can't get into Naked and Afraid for some reason, but I believe that most of it, unlike Man vs. Wild, is real.
