Used it numerous times in old bathrooms. Pour it wall to wall (form the doorway) Make sure to mix with exact amount of water with a drill so its nice and consistent. Expensive but works great in small areas Old slab bathrooms that are not level or chewed up from tile removal.

200 sq ft you wont be able to mix all at once and get it laid with out butt joints or cold joints. I would float it out and then lay it. Portland lime and sand and trowel it out. Or hire a grinder that has all the proper dust collection equipment.

Get a long, long straightedge and grind the high spots, fill in the low spots. Damp wipe the slab so the filler bonds. Concrete glue or latex admix can help, but it depends on the filler you are using. Ardex makes some great products for this.

If you cut corners on the prep you will regret it. And make sure to cure any moisture issues in the slab ...

Set up containment zone and negative air pressure in your grinding are to control dust. Also a vacuum attachment for the grinder is a must.

Is $600 plus materials a good price. Found a guy on a craigslist ad. Materials are approximately $400. He claims he can do it in 4 hrs.

Thanks for the help guys!

I would never hire someone that had an expired license. Why did he lose it. couldn't afford it = will cut corners on YOUR job. state pulled it for reasons that you wont want him at your house.

Thanks guys. I just used him, we we're schedule for the next day and i was in a rush. He did a okay job, slightly unlevel so he had to come back and redo a small section. I guess it was good he did show up the second time.
