Has anyone done it?
I have had multiple concrete pours in the backyard and around the pool, needles to say there is not much consistency in the color and finish!
Researched it with little luck in my area.

I had it on the front and rear decks of my houseboat. I acknowledge that a houseboat and a backyard patio aren't exactly the same application but they do share some similarities like all day sunshine which plays hell with the epoxy coating on top and the epoxy used to bond the pebbles together and to the substrate. To keep it looking decent, not great, we had to recoat it with UV grade epoxy every two years. Even with that the pebbles were always coming loose due to UV degradation of the base epoxy. Make sure you ask about maintaining it and try to talk to some of the installer's previous customers about maintaining it.

BTW, I chipped it all off with a air chisel this past winter and replaced with carpet.
