Post up and storage hacks or ideas that you use or have seen…..

This is a nice idea to store your impact in the car without it bouncing around.

We have the savage spare tire case. It holds a belt, recovery ropes and I think a patch repair kit. We don’t have this foam kit for it, but they sell an impact kit.

Very impressed with the Milwaukee packout system to bring tools, ice chest etc trying to figure out how to adapt something like this to my car.

After our Bar 10 trip which my buddy Tim had his stuff in a Packout set up, I’m sold on that. Great stuff, many configurations and proven.

I keep a 1.5 gallon gas can in the wheel offset just in case….

I also have my m12 inflator, impact, tow strap & soft tie and plug kit in the rear Ogio soft side trunk
so it’s quickly accessible

I also added a center hanging bag between the seats, It has a camel back style hydration system. A lot of times you need a quick hit of water to get rid of dry mouth and this works great! I added a longer hose so it’s easier when your solo.

That seems to be the biggest plus for me as well, depending on the length and location of the ride there are different things that I will decide to bring or not, just clicking another box onto the top or an ice chest etc is stoopid easy.

I have this one in one of my cars. The other car has the EMP. The EMP ripped out the first time we used it. The Rigg Gear is great and durable. The EMP was like a cheap WalMart backpack.

I’ve used a $30 8 Gallon Action Packer for my tools. It works pretty well. A piece of 1.5 inch aluminum L bolted to the bed floor to hold it in place, and a loop strap to the floor to hold it down.

For longer trips if you want to remove your rear seats, get yourself a rear cargo luggage rack for a car, and mount it to a couple seat bases.

I have a detailed thread on this.

I had this Sterlite storage box in my garage, I added some d-rings and old nylon straps that I had cut off an old boat cover and threw in a drawer years ago, added a foam seal around the top to seal from dust a bit more...it holds my toolbag, impact wrench, tire inflator, a small softsided cooler, and some extra clothes/sweatshirts...

Is that a rotopax gas can or something else? My new to me truck came with (2) rotopax mounts that I'm thinking of repurposing to the sxs for longer rides, just know that the majority of UTV fires are traced back to leaky gas cans so it makes me a little nervous

Fake Rotopax and they use a different shape but similar style mount. They come in 3L, 5L, 10L and 20L. Pictured there is a 3L, it holds close to a gallon, will fit in any 14-15 inch wheel. They work well. The only downside is that the spouts will harden and break over time. Just buy spares, they are the generic spouts for most gas cans, its like $10 for 2-4 of them.

These are available from dozens of retailers on Ebay and Amazon.

This is the 3L

This is the 5L. It fits in some 15 inch wheels, not all. This one may not come with the mount at this price..
