Guess I'll start with this. Rescued a 1973 65 shorty Evinrude from a farm field in Podunk Michigan. Got it back to the shop and it had 125 on all three and fired up surprisingly quickly. Went through the pile of 49ci parts and pieced it back together, through a Hustler/Stinger exhaust plate and a set of solid mounts, reeds and stuffers from CCMS, and an etec tiller on. Ran the shit out of it for the summer.
Time for sand blast and powder coat.
Lower unit is shaped like a watermelon, so while I'm building gearcases this week I'll swap the drive shaft into a newer style case while I gather parts for the nitro lowers.
