Wife swears the rear diff is locked up on her Rzr.
Yeah, it is suddenly handling stiff & goofy.

OK, I jack up the back with the rears off the ground,,, what proceedure do you suggest to see if the diff is locked up?

The wheels should spin independant of each other when turned by hand,, right?

If they turn the same direction you know the rear dif is locked up. I know on the Rhino's are always locked up and you don't have the option to unlock them.

I'm pretty sure my Rhino is limited slip. You can lock them up, but you gotta hit the switch.

I kinda thought it was LS as well until you hit the locker button.:hmm:)

Dave will be at home today not working so he should be able to jack up his rhing and give the wheel a spin:skull

the rhino rear is locked full time. the switch on the dash locks the front in 4wd. If you drive a rhino on pavement you will notice it more....especially with BFGs ;)

Not sure about the Rzr. But I think its safe to assume it is also.

The early one's were, but the newer ones are selectable, at least according to some forums I googled to see what was going on with TPC's. Seems to be a somewhat common problem that ends up with it in the shop.

I wish the Rhinos were the same way with a selectable rear dif. it would make driving it on the street more enjoyable.

A couple years ago at the Poker Run in Havi, Wes borrowed Rob's truck to tow the Tridizzle up from the island to the street fair and left us the Rhino. Long travel with BFG's and 3 girls in the back... You planned your turns very far in advance and closed your eyes and hoped the rest of the way. I think my truck had a tighter turning radius that day. :beer

Yah, mine with people in the back on the street isnt very maneuverable. Lots of multipoint turns.

You can't select "turf mode" one wheel drive on the RZR as you can with the Ranger's.

Thanks for the takes

Sorry none of it is really helpful Ross. Seems to be some sort of voodoo surrounding the Polaris brand as a whole, at least from what I was reading on some of the SXS boards.
