PSA- Geek Squad Scam Emails

Hey everyone- just a quick heads up on scam emails that I recently received. First one said my subscription was going to renew and 2nd one said that it was renewed for $239.00 (see 1st image).

I was pretty sure it was BS but it got me thinking because I did buy a TV from Best Buy 3 years ago almost to the day. I double checked my credit cards were not charged and did a search and found the info in the 2nd image below. Apparently, they want you to call the number and divulge your info.

It’s almost like anybody who falls for that deserves to. Sadly though, some people just aren’t savvy enough to realize it’s a scam.

What they do (mostly target old people), is have you log into your computer and check your bank for the refund, they then screenshot your screen. Say they accidentally refunded you too much money and to go send gift cards.

That's the short version of it, but there's a YouTube channel dedicated to fucking with these fuckers.

My issue with these scumbags is they snare elderly people who aren't tech savvy and grew up in an era where you trusted people, I'm fiercely protective of my elderly friends.
If I was a billionaire I would employ a mercenary squad dedicated to finding these fuckers and ruining their lives.
