I have a Mercury commander 3000 control box that's pretty much had it. And its from 1994 so they don't make it anymore. They have the commander 4000 and some other replacement models available. Only issue is all of them that I am finding online are for starboard mount. My control is on the port side. Has anyone had this issue or found a way around this. Or found a universal one.

This is what my current one looks like. This is starboard mount one as well.

I thought they could be used either way. No? Well, if you can use a starboard mount somehow, I have one in pretty decent condition that you can have for the price of shipping (if I can remember where I put it). I know it's missing the kill switch and maybe, the center button, otherwise all parts are there.

I am in Texas. I don't think it would be more than $30, maybe. If you find one closer, no prob. If you need mine, I will be glad to send it to you.

Now I have to go find it. Lol.

Thank you to cole trickle for passing on his parts. I was able to take his parts and mine and combine them to get a working unit. It’s got all new parts and bushings so it’s pretty much like new and didn’t cost me 400! Now I have another issue tho which is my flappers.
