Gonna be in AZ for a baseball tryout mid-august. Any hotels within 30 mins of Scottsdale that have a good pool area for kids? Maybe lazy river and water slides?

Marriott at Desert Ridge, just rebuilt their pool and lazy river. Real close to North Scottsdale.

Any thoughts on Westin Kierland or Arizona Grand?

Westin kierland is great. Walking distance from great shopping and restaurants. What team is he trying out for?

Stayed at the Phoenecian last year with the wife, it's great for adults but there's less kid stuff to do than it looks like there is at Desert Ridge.

Desert Ridge was second on our list. We only chose Phoenician because it's closer to downtown Scottsdale and we wanted to be closer to shops/food options.

Both are nice, I’d vote for Arizona Grand though, has a bitchen pool with some cool water slides, plus Rustlers Rooste is right on property, absolutely fantastic restaurant

Gotcha, our local Canes teams were sold to another group and are now called Trosky. But I know canes national has a lot of good teams. Good luck to him.
Where are you located? Trosky has some good teams as of late.

My boy plays travel ball for the golden spikes near sacramento. The last 2 years in march we have gone to scottsdale for triple crown baseball tournaments. We stayed at arizona grand both times and will stay again this coming march. Decent food, water park is perfect for the kids. Rustlers roost sucked! Not a bad drive to lots of entertainment and good food options. Good luck to your boy in his tryout!

Arizona Grand is at south mountain, too far if you want to be close.
Kierland is nice
South Scottsdale has a few hotels by the fashion square.

az grand is a hike....we did a work conference there for 3 days this year and I stayed on property vs driving back to cave creek. Drinks are expensive and the pool/waterpark closes very early.

A few months ago we stayed at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort, was nice! We extended our stay once we got there, we didn't want to leave. There are some suites that have their own pools too. I was also just recently at the Fairmont, pretty comfy place. 👍

Which one has better pool area for kids? Westin?
The Westin Keirland is always a big hit. Walking distance to restaurants, nightlife and shopping.

JW has a brand new water park. Kids love that one too. Either way you cant lose. I'd go with which ever is cheaper. LOL! 😂

Westin is a great pool. They have a lazy river, and a flow rider. The hotel is great too. Great places to eat, or 100 yard drive to Kierland or The Quarter. Give my GF a call, she might be able to get you a discount BloxDestinations.com

It wont be that JW lol.... $35 to park and $60 resort fee is just for starters. Nice place though
