I'm looking at replacing my 6.5" JBL speakers with these Skar audio 8" marine speakers model sk8m. Anybody run these or heard them in person? All the reviews I have seen say their awesome and pretty much equivalent to JL but 1/3rd the price.

I had just 1 Skar 8" sub in the Essex in their tuned box and that thing hit harder than two 12's of the old days! I love the brand, and I am sure those will sound good also.

I’ve done a truck as well a wake board boat for guys with the Skar equipment. I honestly think it’s bound to see a huge price increase soon, their quality is nicer than kicker and a few others. It’s not RF or JL but you’ll spend 4X’s the money for those. Dollar for dollar you can’t beat them.
