Are you going for travel baseball?I’m sure there’s gotta be some people here that go or have gone before. We are going March 5, 6, and 7. Where the best place to stay? What are some cool things to do?
We are just going for fun to watch the Giants. Going to catch one home game and two away games. These are the only few days we can do it now that travel ball is full swing and pony starts 3/8.Are you going for travel baseball?
I personally like staying in the Chandler Area off of Price. There is a Courtyard and Fairfield Inn right there. A couple exits down is Andretti Indoor Karts which is a great time for the kids. There are quite a few dining options around there too.
Obviously try and catch a game if you can, but sometimes the game schedules don't allow if going for travel ball. If it is travel ball, do you know what fields you are playing on? That might make a difference in where you stay. One year our whole organization stayed at the Hilton Tapatio Cliffs and we played at a Park by Lake Pleasant which was like 40 mins away.
This is the first year in the last 4 years that we aren't going. I am not upset over it.....lol. It's a lot of work when there for travel ball and spendy!!!
Nice! That should be fun for sure. Definitely check out Andretti and if you are doing Karts, make a reservation or get there when they open. The Arcade is epic. We spent a few hours there. There will be travel games going on all over, so maybe catch one of those too.We are just going for fun to watch the Giants. Going to catch one home game and two away games. It depends on what team and field you are going to. The Giants play at Scottsdale Stadium. if the away games are also in the east valley I would stay at Talking Stick. If the "away" games are in the West Valley find a more central location. The Valley is a big place and some of the ballparks are 60 miles apart.I’m sure there’s gotta be some people here that go or have gone before. We are going March 5, 6, and 7. That was the original plan and a bunch of friends backed out due to schedule with sports and school.Take the RV and make it an RV trip. Flat tow a vehicle
About the only time of year so can do that in PHX.
I would try to stay central to the stadiums you are going to. Traffic can be a PIA getting around during ST.
I don’t think so but not sure yetAre you staying in the motor home?
You Have younger kids. Great Wolf Lodge in Scottsdale. Closer to the Scottsdale stadiums, but gives you something to do after the gamesI don’t think so but not sure yet
I peaked at the schedule and noticed that your first two games are in Scottsdale. The Friday game is in Goodyear....roughly 40 miles away. You have lot's of great options to stay. Better make arrangments quickly. Hotels and RV parks tend to fill up during spring ballIt depends on what team and field you are going to. Yep. Did it for my daughters birthday in 2020 when CA was shutdown againHe'll need to take a second mortgage on the house to stay there! I was SHOCKED at what that place costs!
Hotels are pricey during spring training gamesI’m sure there’s gotta be some people here that go or have gone before. We are going March 5, 6, and 7. Where the best place to stay? What are some cool things to do?
Tell me about it!! Not sad at all that we aren't going this year. It is easily a $2k trip just to play travel ball....lolHotels are pricey during spring training games
Not side track Vic’s thread but our son is a huge baseball fan. Is there a website or place with more information? Not sure if he knows of the events and I‘d like to send him some information. I think that he might enjoy and since he is in Havasu it is so close. Thanks in advance!!!
Thanks Joe!!! Our son went to Japan and the baseball game he went to blew him away. Ended up buying jerseys for him and a bunch of friends. I hope it will get him out of Havasu for a bit and enjoy the game and like minded people. Who knows he might even find a girlfriend. LOL2026 Cactus League Spring Training Schedule & Game Info

Take the car. How are you going to get to the games and go out to do things? Uber or Lyft before and after games is a nightmare.Ok the RV conversation has started again. The kids want to take the RV. Where would be a decent spot to camp near Scottsdale stadium. Also I’m sure this would blow my eta’s out of the water. But maybe not as bad as I’m thinking. I don’t know, so help me out

Me too. Daughter played softball, a ton of it and I miss it. My absolute favorite tournament was the high school tournament in Bullhead of all places. It was the best of the best and had an electric vibe from the second you parked the truck.I miss those days
Enjoy it because it goes by fast!I will say baseball and travel ball have been an absolute blast. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t nerve racking sometimes with my schedule but I know one day in really going to miss it. Last night Eli had travel practice 5-7 in Corona. (I get off work at 430) so that was a mad dash for me. Noah had practice in Jurupa valley 5-630 so my dad took care of that. Luke had practice 6-730 in Jurupa valley so my moms handled that and my dad met them after Noah’s. Sometime around 7 my wife showed up. Eli had pony practice 8-930 in Jurupa valley so we left Corona grabbed a quick snack and straight to the park. We do this 6 nights a weekTuesday’s and Thursdays are the busiest with double practices for Eli. Eli is the one begging to go to spring training. Baseball is on his mind all the time, all he ever wants to do with me is practice.
