Any thoughts as to where I should look for a tall recliner other than the normal places like, Jeromes, living spaces, and Lazy boy?
All the recliners Ive seen have been about a half a foot too short on the back rest and when reclined they give no support for your noggin!
Lazy boy had one that was a "big and Tall" and it was close to the right height but was built more for a wide body not so much tall, not to mention it was close to 2K on sale.

There is a recliner called “the beast”. My good buddy is 6’8 and lives in South Dakota (true corn fed) and sleeps on one every night. He has a second one in his living room. They are massive.

I’m a pretty good sized guy and always had trouble finding a chair to fit me.
Found this one at Mathis Brothers in Indio. Bought it and took it to the River house. Liked it so much I retired my chair at home and bought another one.
Note the measurements…45 tall up the back is pretty good, plenty wide too.
Pretty sure this is the same chair.
Find a Mathis Bros and check it out.

Good ol Mike, slowly outlining the true struggles of being ridiculously tall. Do you even fit on an airplane or are you looking for a tall friendly one of those too?

Lazy Boy has a tall version, they are expensive but they do last. First one I had for 20 years before the wife decided to redecorate and we bought a new one just to change the color.

Airplanes are always fun, its not so much the headroom but the damn seats that were designed for Ethiopian marathon runner on a diet. One to two hour flights I can tolerate, Ive flown to Hawaii twice and Florida once, it was misarable to say the least. Prior to 9-11 it wasnt too bad, I would get up and walk to the back of the plane and chat w the attendants, now you get that look like what are you doing back here, are you going to hijack the plane?
Yeah I know first world problems.
