Done it, I'm too competitive and I piss people off.

Done it 20 plus years in carlsbad. Both sons worked there in high school and few years of college.
It's really expensive now. Like wtf. But always packed.
Both my kids have records at a few places. Which sounds kinda cheesy. But it's very competitive at the locations.
It's worth trying it, surprisingly exhausting

I used to go to “show boat” in La Puente. Then it was torn down for Malibu Grand Prix that had the drags.

Friend opened his karting this year. It's all electric and indoors.
I keep my gas Rotax Max, using it at Kartplex Area27. Not sure if I'll be a convert, yet

It's down the street from me and it does look bad ass. It's different from the other K1's as it's an outdoor track.

Took my 9 year old to Andretti when we were in Phoenix for baseball. The whole facility is absolutely insane, from the multi level race courses to the arcade with all the latest games/VR, etc. Full bar, food, mini bowling and event rooms. We went on a Friday afternoon during Spring Break and the wait for racing was 4 hours. Went back on Saturday morning, first ones through the door when they opened so the kids could race. By the time we finished, the line was a good hour + long.

They are also building this over in Winchester, CA. Talked to the manager and they will be renting competition karts at this track. This is being built for serious Kart enthusiasts and you have to have a DL to be able to race one of these Karts.
