2023 Capstone , no air ride. Towed a bunch of stuff, Max was about 7500LBS. Truck does fine, but the 22" car tires will get changed out to E loads for peace of mind.

Did you ever drive or tow with a 5.7 Tundra?

I have at least 65,000 miles towing with my 07 Tundra. Truck has around 120k. I am real curious about the new motors.

The new ones have turbo charged V6 in place of the anvil reliable V8 in previous generations. People that have them love them. I'm curious also as I've been kicking tires on the latest gen Tundra.

Recall on 2022-2023 Tundras

Toyota is recalling approximately 102,000 trucks and Lexus vehicles, the company announced Thursday.

The Japanese car conglomerate said that the engines in some model year 2022–2023 Tundra and LX vehicles may have machine debris that was not cleared during production.

Used values are in the tank and some dealers won’t take them in on trade, because the ultimate fix hasn’t been announced yet.

IMHO there will be some smoking deals on these used trucks…knowing that Toyota will make this right means I wouldn’t hesitate to get a killer deal on one, if I needed a truck.

Son had a 2014 4x4 Crew Cab Tundra. Towed a 32” travel trailer with it cross country. Performed like a champ! Just don’t pass up a gas station!

If I didn’t need a 3/4ton. I would have a Tundra.

All 4 half ton manufacturers have engine issues. Might as well go with the one that stands behind their product the most.

Chevy lifter issues
Ram can end exhaust manifolds
Ford cam phasers
Toyota engine debris

Must be a Texas thing, the used ones up here are priced higher than Giraffe knookie....

I found a dealer in AR that had new SR's on the lot for low 40's. I was surprised that the base trucks are well equipped, even if they have steel wheels.

im curious here because i got rid of my 3/4 ram to go half ton and now im thinking i just want to stick with HD. you have to stay 3/4 because of the fifth wheel? thats why im concerned with the tundra payload......dont want to be limited on TT sizes

Thank you, yes I took to Wescott. We left a half inch out of the front tho due to weight of shell. Put 33’s on an 18” Method bead grip wheel.

Yes I need the cargo and towing capacity. Trailer is 10,800 empty with a supposed 3200 pin weight. My cargo capacity 2800 so I’m way over but the truck don’t even flinch. I have the same axle as the f350. Only difference is the f350 has the 5leaf pack. I have the 4leaf standard is 3leaf.

Truck rides like a truck and turns like a bus. Other than that I love it. But driving a half ton Everyday would be much more enjoyable.

clean looking rig. what level kit? westcott?
Yes, As mentioned previously I did go to Westcott.

But also worth looking for if you can find it in stock, toyota does a factory 3” lift, its an additional $3,900.
I looked into it too late, and the aftermarket price was triple due to the tear down and rebuild labor costs.

Thats an absolutely bad ass looking Tundra. Are you saying it was $12k for a 3 inch lift on that truck?

Thank you, very happy with it.

The toyota factory lift is a $3,900 upgrade (not on mine).

I looked into the parts/labor to have the oem toyota lift installed after buying mine, it would have cost $12k. Obviously not worth it to do that, there are way better options for that kinda dough.I would have paid the extra $3900 if I had seen it at time I purchased.

I had a 2010 and towed a 28 Warlock cat with twin big blocks and a 28 Donzi with small blocks for thousands of miles cumulatively. Never had an issue.
