Trailer Rust Removal Questions

Just wondering what some of you use for rust removal on your trailers. I have some areas of concern that need repair.

How can you tell if the areas rusted are more than superficial?
How do some of you repair the areas?
Any one know of some trailer repair sites in Havasu?

Any help would be appreciated.

With rust you have two choices...mechanical removal, or chemical conversion....both work.....some pointers....Here...and here

Either way you're going to need to repaint. Touch Up is fine for a small area that is rarely seen.
