We have 5 bars and still slow service.
Is this out-dated and is there something that works better?
Wife logs into her work on the road and loading is forever and Netflix is spotty.
Forget posting pix or YouTube.
Anything better?

No, my hot spot works great for general browsing, but uploading or video is a waste and also eats data like mad

I'm field guy. I build Powerlines in many remote access areas, so I work out of my pickup and keep one plugged in the glovebox of my Dodge ram 3500. I use a Laptop, IPAD, iPhone constantly and do alot of printing from a back seat printer for my crews. Printers can finicky with multiple connections, but JetPack handles it all very nicely. We also use cellular range extenders on our trucks, which is aux antenna that helps eliminate dead zones. Well worth the investment.

Is the one in the picture you posted the one you have? If it is I went from that model to the 7730l and my speeds doubled. The 7730l uses the newer band 4 I think it was and is faster. I stream two tv's and two ipads at the same time at our place in needles and it doesn't skip a beat!

No I have the very first one that hit the scene.
Thanks for the tip.
I figured there has to be a faster way.
I hit send on the iPhone and it’s fine in the field.

Yea that's probably the problem. Older ones don't have all the newest band radios. For example I had the one in the picture you posted and when I would run a speed test on it I would get anywhere between 8-12 download speed. I purchased the one I just mentioned swapped the sim card ran the test in the same spot got 26-28 down. Just upgrade the jet pack and you should be good to go.

Appreciate the tip and take.
Wife tracks her section at work when we travel and it’s super important to her.
She’s out feeding the burros breaking the law now BTW.

We use an ATT mobley and our verizon cell phones for all of our internet. Sometime one gets a better signal than the other.

We have the ATT Mobley. $22.00 a month for unlimited WiFi. Since these are working off a wireless phone line, good wireless reception is needed.

Update:
They gave me the new Jetpack for one cent. Some sorta sale.
The sound improved to full stereo.
Still not sure about service but 5g is coming and they told me it’s 5g ready.

They said the wired antennas that plug into it give you an extra bar of reception.
They’re in the mail.
