I’m sure I’m doing something wrong. I found the yellow terminator cover and this is what I found when I uncovered it:

Im confused about the jumper wires at the top and the pins don’t look anything like this:

I’d appreciate y’all help. Thanks much!

That plug had this cap on it:

And it’s located on top of the motor near the circular diagnostic port:

I specifically looked at your post before I started. I’ve looked around for anything else that resembles the proper connection. Instructions were pretty specific about the yellow terminator resistor. That yellow cap is just a cover and doesn’t plug into anything.

Mine is 2005 496 HO. I had to provide the SN when I ordered so I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to function for this application.

Is that plug end on yours another adapter? Can the end of that piece come off?

And it doesn’t fit to that white connector with blue on it?

I looked at that one but it looks different:

It’s interesting that the plug that I originally showed that I took the yellow cover off of looks similar to the other plug on the VesselView mobile harness:

Hopefully folks can learn from my rookie mistake. The terminator is more than the yellow cap it’s the piece behind it.

Keep in mind the Bluetooth module connection isn’t that great while under the hatch. Try to put in a spot upfront

I double sided taped mine to the top of the ecm/pcm and used it all weekend with not the slightest issue with connectivity.
Only thing i dislike is seeing the fuel consumption :(

For those of you that have VVM do you get weird fault messages? I get service engine soon faults ranging from pitot tube pressure, tank level A and B, steering position... I can block them but it's just a bit annoying.

I like having this but it's not as useful as I had hoped. I have a nice set of gauges that give me gps speed, tach, etc. guess I was hoping to be able to see more engine metrics than what I already see on the dash. It is nice to see the hours on the engine.

Will this let you know if you throw a code? And what the code is?
