Apparently, Obama is a military strategist.

"About 10 days before the raid, Obama was briefed on the plan. It included keeping two backup helicopters just outside Pakistani airspace in case something went wrong. But Obama felt that was risky. If the SEALs needed help, they couldn?t afford to wait for backup.

He said the operation needed a plan in case the SEALs had to fight their way out. So two Chinooks were sent into Pakistani airspace, loaded with backup teams, just in case. One of those Chinooks landed in the compound after the Black Hawk became inoperable."

A very good book about the the creation of Seal Team 6 is Richard (Dick) Marcinko's "Rouge Warrior" I highly recommend it!!

Read it when I was at the academy. Great book and a great look into the mind of what it takes to be a seal.

I need to read it again. I read it about 15 years ago. I have a copy signed by Marcinko...but I don't want to bend the pages. LOL.

I'd pay a hefty cover charge to be able to sit and have a few beers with that guy. Man, the stories he can (if he would) tell.

Yes, that is what I was refering to. Not a video game.
He even served time for doing his job.

From Wiki-

Marcinko served time in federal prison under charges of defrauding the government over the price of contractor acquisitions for hand grenades. Marcinko maintains that he was the subject of a witch-hunt for his work with Red Cell and that the fraud committed revealed the weaknesses of military security. Marcinko has detailed his arrest and confinement in the last chapters of his autobiography.[1]

[edit] Civilian life Marcinko has since published a VHS and DVD movie account of his "Red Cell" operations. In doing so he embarrassed several superior officers, whom he accuses of involvement in his subsequent conviction for misappropriation of funds and resources under his command.

His experiences led him to write his autobiography, The New York Times best-selling Rogue Warrior, and subsequent fictional sequels, most of which are co-written with ghostwriter John Weisman.[1]

He is currently CEO of Red Cell International and formerly of SOS Temps, Inc., a private security consulting firm based in Washington, D.C.. He had a politically conservative talk radio show America on Watch with Dick Marcinko which was broadcast live. He is a spokesman for the Zodiac boat company's Zodiac Maritime Training Academy, and served as a consultant on FOX's television series 24.

He goes into all of that in Rouge Warrior. In the book he was basically going around to military installations and finding their weaknesses and the brass didn't like it. One time he was able to plant fake bombs on Air Force One...which is a pretty hefty feat. It was those types of things they should be thanking him for, but the sent him to prison instead.

He served his time in Minnesota or somewhere very cold and he didn't want other inmates F-ing with him, so he would go out every day and pump iron in shorts, shoes, & a headband even if it was 0 degrees out. Everyone thought he was one Crazy & tough SOB and left him alone. According to the book, being sent to prison was total BS and should never have happened.

He approached that guarded plane in daylight, open tarmac, didn't see him coming, knocked the guy out, tied the guy up. Also had someone with him to start up the plane and taxi. Lol.
Also gained access to a nuke sub and planted a fake bomb.
Talk about "shootin' and lootin'". Pissed off alot of people.
Makes you wonder why a documentary or movie was never made.

For those who have not read this. Read it.
